Zoey's Journey

As many of you may have already heard, my niece Zoey Waters was involved in a serious head on collision on Wednesday December 18th. Zoey was just a few short km's from her dad's home in Arthur.

Zoey has been put into a medically induced coma as she has suffered extensive injuries. Our bold, beautiful Zoey has a very long road ahead of her. She has sustained compound fractures in each femur, a fractured pelvis, fractured ankle, a laceration of her spleen and a collapsed lung. Her carotid artery was also damaged on impact which resulted in her suffering a stroke. Medical staff had suspected a stroke but were unable to address it acutely as she sustained two skull fractures and the risk was too high. The extent of Zoey's brain damage is unknown.

Family has been told to take it "hour by hour" as so many uncertainties lie ahead.

We are thankful for all the emotional and prayer support we have received.
