Fight with Val: A Path to Recovery

As you may or may not know, Valerie Carmack was diagnosed suddenly with breast cancer last week and will have to undergo treatment immediately.

For those of you who don’t know us, we are sisters and best friends of the Carmack family. When we learned of Val’s diagnosis, we immediately started planning this fundraiser. Our only battle was getting Val to agree, which, if you know her….well, let’s just say she didn’t quite agree. But we are DOING IT ANYWAY.

Because while we have NO DOUBT she will fight with grace to beat this thing, we also know you can never truly plan for a moment like this. And that stress, financially or otherwise, will only hinder her healing, and we need her to FOCUS on what’s important! As a devoted mother and teacher in the community for many years, it feels surreal to suddenly be forced out of work and her daily routine as a mom to focus solely on her health, but that’s exactly what she will need to do.

This GoFundMe is a way for us to help ease the financial burden of medical expenses and missed work and provide some peace of mind to The Carmack’s at this challenging time. Every donation, no matter the size, is a powerful message of love and support for Val, Sean, Addison, and Kieran.
