My name is Brenda Salter, the mother in law to Shannon Strickland. He is married to my daughter Jenna and together they have two boys 10 and 5 years of age. If you know Shannon, you already know he is a strong willed, fun loving, God fearing man! He is a family man that adores his wife and sons! He is a hard worker and dedicated to being the best provider for his family.
Shannon has been working as an electrican and had been taking classes to gain all the knowledge he could to better his career.
On Thursday August 6, 2020 while working at a Solar Plant he was involved in an extremely dangerous accident. Shannon was severely burnt on his chest, both arms, both hands, neck, ears, and face. Shannon was alone on the site but somehow managed to call Jenna and tell her to call 911 and give his location to get help in a remote area where the job site was located. He was immediately transported by helicopter to Grady Memorial hospital in Atlanta, GA with 2nd and 3rd degree burns. Shannon is a fighter and was just recovering from a massive heart attack just 2 months previous. We all pray that God will continue to give him the strength that he will need for the long journey ahead.
The family thanks everyone for the calls, text, and prayers. Many of you have asked to help. During this time that we are all enduring Covid19 we understand the difficultly to visit and bring food or other items . With that being said, I have been led to set up this for anyone who may want to help this sweet family with the expenses that they are now facing.
