Fight With Nate

This is a story about a great young man who started his battle with Cancer two years ago and as of June 20, 2022 thought he finally defeated it as his scans were clear! On August 31, 2022 Nathan Blair found out his cancer was back but this time with a vengeance and a different form of the Osteosarcoma. As you can imagine the shock, fear and emotion was far worst than the first time when the Blair Family received this news. In less than 5 weeks of having clear scans and the Dr. Saying “ I think we are on the good side of this you have had clear scans for almost a year!” Shock waves were sent through the family. This cancer is aggressive and a very rare form of Osteosarcoma less than 4% of people get this form and there are only 10% of patients that it grows in the same spot. Nathan’s tumor is in the same shoulder as before but affecting his tissue.

The family together have decided to take this fight head on by getting multiple options from any cancer facility that will read his case. Today they are meeting a team at the Moffit Center in Tampa Florida. They are taking holistic approaches as well using natural medications in conjunction with whatever treatment Nathan decides to do. The financial toll this is going to take on them after just getting back to somewhat normal but still having to pay for scans is devastating. I can honestly tell you that I’ve been with the family the last few days and they are prepared more than ever to take this fight head on sadly these fights are expensive.

As you can imagine they never expected to be here again but here we are. This community came together two years ago and the support and love was unlike anything we had ever seen and are forever grateful. With the loss of work and income that is coming for the family I am reaching out to the community again to ask for any help for them as they start this horrific journey again. We are planning some amazing fundraisers for the end of the year but the help is needed now. Please continue to most importantly pray for the family as the fear is far greater this time than last.
