I am raising funds for the care and treatment of my son, Casper, who has been diagnosed with a terminal illness called NBIA – PKAN. This is a very rare and progressive neurological disease that is gradually taking away his strength, independence, and ability to function day-to-day.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to provide Casper with intensive rehabilitation, specialist therapies, and essential equipment — all of which are extremely costly in the UK and not always available through the NHS. Regular therapy can help him maintain his mobility and everyday abilities for as long as possible. Sadly, rehabilitation will not cure the disease or stop its progression, but it can slow down its effects and ease his daily suffering.
