HAPPY BIRTHDAY LYNN!!!

The Sal and Mookie's Fundraiser was a great success! Lynn and I only wish we could have been there. We are waiting for the results of a CT scan and a treatment plan from the doctors. We look forward to being released from the hospital and coming home soon. Thank you to all our friends who supported this event!

Thank you to the management of Sal and Mookies for their support and hosting this event.

(Ochsner Transplant Surgery Team)

LYNN IS BACK AT OCHSNER - In the capable hands of some of the most talented medical professional in the world. We pray that she will be fully healed soon and able to go home for good.

Thanks to all our friends and family for their prayers and generous support!  In just a little over one month, we have raised nearly 75% of the goal.

God bless everyone.

As a stage 4 Kidney Disease patient and an insulin dependent Diabetic, Lynn was referred to Ochsner Multi-Organ Transplant Center in New Orleans and began testing for kidney and pancreas transplant in December 2017.

Lynn was approved for kidney and pancreas transplant on June 18, 2018. A matching donor became available three months later on September 14 and Lynn underwent kidney and pancreas transplant surgery the next day, Saturday, September 15, 2018.

Initially, Lynn did very well. The transplanted kidney and pancreas functioned well, Lynn responded great and she was released from the hospital in only 5 days.

However, in the 12 weeks that have followed, Lynn has been readmitted to the hospital 5 times due to severe infection and sepsis.

On October 8, Lynn was re-hospitalized and developed severe sepsis/septic shock and she was crashing in ICU. An additional, middle of the night emergency surgery was performed to save her life. The surgeons removed a large abscess filled with highly infectious fluid from her abdomen and she has been on strong IV antibiotics and antifungals. Notwithstanding the emergency surgery and strong antibiotics, Lynn was again readmitted to the hospital with reoccurring infection and two additional abscesses on October 27.

What began as a triumphant success, has become a grueling ordeal. Our faith that God will heal her is unshakable. We need your prayers for Lynn.

Lynn’s continues to fight an uphill battle. These setbacks have caused a financial burden that has already greatly exceeded our expectations and she is not yet well. We need your help.

We would greatly appreciate financial donations of any amount  and please share this story and need with others.
