Fight with Daria

We know Daria as a beautiful, driven, vibrant woman. We also know her as a fighter, a survivor of an aggressive breast cancer. Just 2 years ago she had her last treatment, enduring months of chemo and radiation, most times on her own, protecting her young children and family. Just as Daria bounced back with a renewed passion for life, she is delivered a shocking blow. Cancer has come back with vengeance, as a tumor in her brain. She has to dust off her boxing gloves, find her fighting spirit and get back into survival mode. Her husband and precious children had been with her every minute for the last three months - her fight is too deadly to brave on her own. There was literally no time to prepare for the shocking discovery. They have already changed several apartments, doctors and bills are piling up and Pierre has devoted himself fully to Daria’s well being. He is her guardian, her advocate, a nurse, a maid (at home and at a hospital) - whatever she needs. Or so he had been. It’s now time for him to go back to work. And that means leaving France. Just as Pierre now, we can’t be there in person to help out (but if you can, please let us now as we are working out caregivers schedule along with financial help) but we can still care and support by providing at least a little relief, be it a ticket for her mom to arrive, or a week’s rent, a nurse to help at night, a babysitter for the kids, or a therapist. Daria has endured a 9 hour surgery, radiation, 4 rounds of chemotherapy which is only the first steps on her path to survival. There is more to come. This time she needs every ounce of love, support, and prayer we can send her way.
