Hello all! I am raising funds to help cover the cost of my extensive medical bills. Back in 2005, at 15 years old, I was diagnosed with an inflammatory bowel disease called Ulcerative Colitis. Over the years I have struggled through many flare ups and hospital visits, but was able to recover rather quickly. However, I am now 33 and over the course of the past 10 months, I have been in and out of the hospital, and struggling to recover.

To date, I’ve had three major surgeries that have come with severe complications. I had a major flare up of my colon in December 2022, causing severe rectal bleeding that almost cost me my life. The incident resulted in the removal of my entire colon and rectum with the formation of an ileostomy.

I am a speech-language pathologist who loves improving the lives of children, adults and their families. I am pursuing candidacy for a clinical doctorate in speech-language pathology. However, I am unable to work, and I had to put school on hold in order to tend to my medical issues. I am a mother to a beautiful daughter. I love reading, music, traveling and spending time with friends and family. I’d be so appreciative if you would please be so kind to help raise money for me to pay down medical bills and cover simple medical needs. It is my hope and prayer to overcome this disease so that I can begin to live life to the fullest.
