Fight The Good Fight with Scott Ritchie

How lucky we are to have our family to gather strength in each other during this diffucult time. Anyone that knows Scott, knows that he is the type of person to give you the shirt off of his back. Scott has been married to his high school sweetheart for 34 years and they share 3 children together. Scott and Wendy have recently become grandparents to an adorable little boy for the first time. We thought that all was well when Scott healed from his Chondro Sarcoma early last year, but were taken by surprise when he was diagnosed with Dedifferentiated Sarcoma ten months later. Dedifferentiated Sarcoma is a very rare type of cancer that does not respond to radiation or chemotherapy. We are hoping to find novel treatments for this cancer in which he carries the gene. With a little research, we have found wonderful hospitals, nurses and doctors. Scott will be having surgery the beginning of February and will be starting a new trial drug. To treat this unique type of cancer, it is necessary to travel out of state on a regular basis which can be very costly. There are only a handful of hospitals in the United States that have access to these experimental treatments. Any donations are greatly appreciated as they will contribute to Scott's treatments and surgeries. Donating to this campaign will help relieve the financial burden of incoming medical bills. Help us stay hopeful on this journey so that Scott can enjoy many more memories with his growing family.
