£6,290 raised of

fight plans to dump millions of tons of builders rubble

Hi folks - unfortunately we have now received advice from the solicitor that we don’t have a strong enough case to move forward with a judicial review so I have suspended donations - big thanks to all who donated, those who did so after funding was restarted on August 17th will have their donations returned. A new community meeting will be organised to discuss the way forward. The £6k paid for the legal advice is an investment, the barristers report will provide vital info for the campaign to continue fighting the plan to dump millions of tons of rubble on the former lime beds in Winnington, Northwich and the 200 lorries a day through the town six days a week for five years. This will cause severe disruption, pollution and risk. The lime beds have been reclaimed by nature and are now a wildlife haven. There is also no obligation on the developers or TATA to erect a so called solar farm when they’ve finished dumping- this is simply a moneymaking landfill. Please check out the latest post on facebook- the fight goes on
