Fight night to beat cancer

Hi my name is Mark and on May 31st I will be stepping back into the cage after 12 years to fight on Lion Fighting Championships show at lordswood lesiure center against a good friend and previous opponent to raise money for two people going through the hardest fight they will ever go through.

Why I'm doing it.

September 2024 I received the news know parent wants to hear

My 27yr old daughter and mum of two beautiful daughters had developed stage 3 breast cancer after more scans in October we were told that it had spread to her lymph nodes.

That's when the fight started

We were told that she would have to under go a mastectomy and full lymph node removal 2nd January a few weeks later it got worse.After further scans and a change in the diagnosis to inflammatory breast cancer it was decided that surgery was now not an option and she would start 6 rounds of chemotherapy starting 24th December.

Due to an extreme reaction to the chemotherapy she was only able to complete 3 rounds and in February it was stopped.

And surgery was put back on the table.

She has now had a full mastectomy and lymph node removal and is recovering slowly we are waiting to see what happens next with regards to treatments going forward. But know it's still a long tough road ahead.

I have been teaching martial arts for years and have previously fought but what I have done now seems like play fights compared to what paige has gone through. It would seem that all the years I have been trying to create the best fighters and it turns out I already did 28yrs ago.

Some time ago a good friend Mark Williams ask if I would take part in a charity fight in aid of raising awareness for his amazing and brave daughter who who is battling Cancer, of course I said YES !

Since then a good friend of mine has started her own battle with Cancer, many of my friends will know who this, so it has become even more personal, so I ask as many of my friends to come along and support us old timers having a go one last time together for such an amazing cause !
