From Chris:
"When I was 21 I was diagnosed with stage 3 melanoma. 17 years later the grotesque monster has once again returned to remind me to be strong in the face of uncertainty, pain and fear. In 17 years the treatment options are much better, less invasive and much more optimistic. Never let any doctor or practitioner take your health for granted. Demand second opinions and to speak experts and specialists. Wealth means nothing without health, and health could can unfortunatly be quite costly. As Rage the Machine put it 'fear is your only God.' Stay well all and maximise every moment of your life. Love heals. Keep your friends and family close. If you wear sunscreen, buy the good stuff and avoid avobenzone.

I have the best support group I could have ever imagined between family, friends and doctors. I also have the best, most awesome and inspirational coworkers and friends from work. They are the hardest working, nicest and most caring people I have ever met. And shout out to my doggos for being awesome. Thank I you all, you rock! I couldn't do it without you. ❤
If you are someone that worries about how to handle something like this, the best thing to do is reach out and talk via a call or text. Visit if you are near or if you want come see the Smoky Mountains. Even a simple goofy or tacky meme will do. It is always great to hear from friends old and new.
Never let anyone undermine your health. You are the only one who understands how you truly feel. If you do not feel well or are hurting, it means that your body is trying to tell you something is wrong. Seek appropriate care and demand answers and proper diagnosis because it is what you pay for in our current medical industrial system. I appreciate friendly advice and suggestions but know that there may be more to the story."
