Meet Izaiah — "Zay" — our brave, happy 3-year-old

On July 1st, our family's world was turned upside down. What started as urgent bloodwork became one of the hardest days of our lives. Zay was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).

There will be no JK this fall, no daycare graduation, no normal little-kid year. Instead, Zay and his parents, Alicia and Max, are about to begin the fight of their lives, starting with a spinal tap, his first round of chemo, and surgery to place a port, all in the next week alone. He's already been through a blood transfusion and bone marrow biopsy just to get this diagnosis and a treatment plan in place.

Zay's treatment is expected to last a minimum of three years. To be there for every appointment and every hard day, Max will need to step away from work, leaving the family to rely on Alicia's income alone to support Zay, his parents, and his 9-year-old sister.

This fundraiser is here to help carry that weight. Our goal is to cover at least the first year of treatment-related costs, so Alicia and Max can focus on Zay instead of finances, keeping bills paid, keeping their home stable, and keeping life as normal as possible for their daughter too.
