My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Justin and Missy when we moved into our current home. From day one they were incredibly welcoming and we soon become very good friends. On the weekends you could find us drinking, playing bags, and of course smoking/grilling who knows what.
A few years later, the Gilbertsons moved to Savage, but our friendship continued with Justin and I putting together a bowling team at Cedarvale lanes, The Blue Balls! Over the next four years, the team was no longer friends, but family.
In early June, I received a phone call no one wanted. Justin had been diagnosed with small cell carcinoma. Since that day, with the help of my wife Jen, and our friends Matt and Rochelle, we have kicked our butts into high gear to help Justin and Missy through this dark time.
Justin and Missy know that they have an army of people who love and care for them. This fundraiser is to help them through the financial portion of this journey. This should be the last of their worries.
There will be a benefit at Cedarvale Lanes on July 29th from 12-5. There will be a silent auction, free bowling from 1-3, and 20% of pizza sales being donated. If you cannot make it to the benefit, please feel free to contribute anything you can via this page.
