If you have not met this man, PLEASE let me introduce you to Tim Stites.

Tim started his service career as a Marine protecting two U.S. Presidents, and is currently a Southlake Police Officer helping and serving his community. Tim has fought the good fight, is raising two awesome children and is blessed to be married to the love of his life. He is what we all aspire to be, a great Father, an amazing husband who loves his family more than anything, and a truly genuine and loyal friend. Everyone needs a "Tim" in their life.
Today, he is facing a whole new threat. He was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (throat cancer) and is preparing for the fight for his life. Having never smoked a day in his life, this came as quite a shock. In true form, Tim and his wife, Amber have taken the news with such admirable bravery. They have an incredible "we will do what we have to do" attitude. I think I am safe in saying, most of us would not handle this news well. Tim and Amber are working diligently on researching all options before they settle on what will be the best for Tim.
Not one of us can possibly be prepared mentally, physically, emotionally, or spiritually for the fight that Tim faces. All of that is burden enough without the financial stress that all of this brings. This is where you can HOPEFULLY help. As they research what their options are, it requires time away from work, along with travel expenses. They have already booked their first of many trips to MD Anderson Cancer center in Houston where Tim will undergo a series of tests. Once treatment starts, it will mean missed work for both, and the tremendous costs of treatment sitting on their shoulders. We are and will do all we can to raise the money needed for them to alleviate one of their burdens.
When I think of fundraising, I think of Girl Scout cookies. We just can’t say no to buying a box. You know, when you pull into Home Depot in February and look across the parking lot- the first thing you see is the signature green Thin Mint box on a table in front of the store and you are secretly like "YES!!! They're back!!!" We.. just....cant...say...no... to helping them reach their goal (or the cookies). Please help the Stites reach their goal, which is finding the most effective treatment plan. Every little bit counts, the price of a box of cookies will help more than you know!!!
I think it’s fair to say if you are a friend of Tim's, you are family. This is one big giant family that needs your help. It’s not just his fight- it’s OUR fight. Please...and THANK YOU!
