**UPDATE: Karen has informed us that the funds from this page will be going to Kyra's "puppy fund" which they are hoping to have by the end of the summer**
It is with a heavy heart that the family and friends of Chris "Fluffy" Davis post this news of his passing on July 29, 2020, after a 15 month battle with Stage 4 Esophageal Cancer. Chris leaves behind his wife, Karen, with whom he has been together for almost 17 years and his daughters Maddie, 21, and Kyra, 11. Due to a diagnosis of diabetes when Chris was only 29 years old, he was unable to purchase additional life insurance leaving his family with minimal coverage for their needs in the upcoming months as they adjust to a single-family income.
Karen and Chris have a large supportive community of love and support that spans not only the Philadelphia area but around the world through various online communities and connections. Like us, many people have asked how we can support the Davis family as they move toward (in a pandemic appropriate term) their "new normal" and we wanted to provide an easy way for those who want to support the family. We hope that this GoFundMe helps to ease some of the financial burdens of final expenses and any needs that Karen and the girls may have in the upcoming months including setting up college funds for both girls to be used for educational expenses.
Recognizing that Karen is not one to ask for help and has a big heart in giving back to the community, she has asked us to provide information for Cancer Support Community Greater Philadelphia, Kid's Support (Gilda's Club) for those who would wish to donate there instead. The Davis family has been involved with Gilda's Club since Chris's diagnosis and has meant so much to the family during Chris's battle and will continue to provide support to the family in the months and years to come. Donations to CSCGP can be mailed to:
