As hard as it is to post this, we as a family have decided we want it out there so as many prayers & positive thoughts can start our way.
Last night after the Senior Night festivities concluded, we had to break the hearts of our families, as ours had broke the day before. September 15 was the worst day of our lives. That was the day we found out that Kaden has been diagnosed with Leukemia. Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia to be exact. It was confirmed by the oncologist at St Francis yesterday & we are waiting on the call from MD Anderson to head to Houston as soon as they give us the word, for more testing & to start treatment.
It goes without saying that we are all heartbroken, devastated & overwhelmed. Kaden is taking it better than anyone right now. But if you could just add our family to your prayer list, we would greatly appreciate it. And if you see my girl around, give her an extra hug & an encouraging word because she will be staying here to finish the season with her teammates.
As Kaden told his grandparents last night, he’s going to kick this things ass. So that’s what I’m going to believe in as well.
