In January 2024, Trent began experiencing tingling and pain in his right arm. Initially believed to be a pinched nerve, he underwent steroid treatment and physical therapy, but symptoms worsened. By late February, he developed uncontrollable twitching in his right arm and neck. After pushing for further testing, Trent had a brain MRI on March 15. That same day, doctors told him to go to the ER—within 48 hours, he was diagnosed with two inoperable brain tumors.
A biopsy confirmed the diagnosis: Glioblastoma, Grade 4. Trent is now receiving treatment at Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis. While surgery isn't an option, he’s undergoing six weeks of radiation and chemotherapy, followed by a four-week evaluation period to assess progress.
Despite the diagnosis, Trent remains determined and is continuing to work during treatment. His wife, Holly, is a 3rd-grade teacher at Immaculate Conception Dardenne, and together they have two children, Bella (8th grade) and Jack (6th grade).
As the Boston family faces this unimaginable challenge, we are raising funds to help ease their financial burden. If the funds exceed their needs, they plan to donate the remainder to brain cancer research and other families affected by this disease.
