A MESSAGE FROM THE GIFFORDS

"Dear friends and family, thank you so much for joining with us in joy and celebration of our pregnancy with our twin boys. On Thursday, May 9th, Amanda went into preterm labor and before the doctors could stop it, things progressed quickly and our sons were born by emergency c-section at 24 weeks and 2 days old. Bryant was born first, followed by Beckham 1 minute later. They look just like their daddy and are the most perfect boys. Our hearts ache to share that we lost our baby Becks an hour after delivery. Our Bry guy is in the NICU making us so proud every minute of the day. The last few days have been the most shattering, confusing, and devastatingly painful we’ve had to face and we’ve needed some privacy while recovering and processing our current reality. As many of you know, this pregnancy has been hard - but this ending is something we truly couldn’t have imagined. We miss our son Beckham James so much, it’s unbearable. We are facing a long road ahead as we wait for and watch our baby boy Bryant Jackson fight each day to come home to us. We are living moment by moment for now.

We love you all so dearly and are so thankful for each of you being in our lives and walking these last few months with us and beyond. Please continue to pray for us and our kids, and for Bryant to keep fighting and come home to us in perfect health. We are hurting, but we are grateful for the continued love and support."

Now more than ever, the Giffords need the love of their family and community - of those who feel led to support and stand with them through this difficult time. We expect Baby Bryant to remain in the NICU for at least 3 months, Amanda will continue to be on bed rest healing for the next two months, and all while Sam continues to support their home and five kids.

With continuing day-to-day needs, medical bills, and the uncertainty of what insurance will cover, we know that worrying about finances is the last thing they need during this time. We are not yet certain of how much they will need, but every little bit counts. And we know Sam and Amanda are beyond grateful for your generosity, thoughts, and prayers
