Hi, I’m futurist Mal Fletcher. For four decades, I’ve dedicated my life to helping people from all walks of life engage the future today. I've done this in more than 40 countries, through mass media advocacy*, conferences, education programs, research, and writing. I’m supported in this by committed volunteers at the 2030Plus futures forum and the Next Wave International charity.

Now, in the face of world-changing artificial intelligence (AI), we’re stepping up our work in media advocacy and public education. AI technology is evolving rapidly. It is crucial that we understand its far-reaching implications. From the ethics of AI to its impact on jobs, privacy, healthcare, education, cyber-security, mental health, the environment and warfare, the challenges we face are immense.

That's why we’re launching a ground-breaking campaign to support research, education, and media advocacy regarding the human and environmental impact of AI and machine learning. We must act now while we still have time to shape the ethics that should drive AI's development.
