Give Liudmila a fighting chance against secondary cancer

Donation protected
My name is Liudmila Cloherty. I am just 42 years old — a wife to my loving husband Tim, and a mother to two beautiful children, 22 years old Lukas and 13-year-old daughter Melody, who still needs her mum by her side every single day.

Two weeks ago, my world changed forever.

I was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer — my very first diagnosis — and it has already spread to my liver. There was no warning, no earlier stage, no time to prepare. One moment I was living my busy life as a wife and mother, and the next I was facing a life-altering diagnosis that no family is ever ready to hear.

The shock has been overwhelming. The fear is real. But even stronger than the fear is my determination to fight with everything I have. I am not ready to give up on my life. I am not ready to give up on watching Lukas building his future, on guiding Melody through her teenage years, on growing old with Tim.

Secondary breast cancer is not considered curable. Those words are devastating to hear at 42years old. But i am not ready to accept that this is the end of my story. I want more time. Time to live. Time to fight. Time to be here for my family.

After urgent consultations and research, we have found hope in a private clinic in Germany that specializes in advanced treatment for complex and secondary breast cancer cases like mine. They offer personalized therapies that could give me precious time — time to live, time to love, time to be a mother to my children.

Unfortunately, I do not have private health insurance, and this treatment is not covered by NHS. The cost of the medical care, along with travel, accommodation and treatment expenses is far beyond what our family can manage alone.

It is incredibly difficult for me to ask for help. I have always been someone who tries to stay strong and handle things on my own. But right now, I need support. I need a chance.

If you are able to contribute, no matter how small the amount, you are helping me fight for my life. If you cannot donate, sharing my story would mean just as much.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read this. Thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your support. Every act of generosity gives me strength and reminds me that my family and I are not alone in this battle.

With hope and gratitude,
Liudmila
