As many of you are aware my dear Mother, Patricia Kingsbury aka Mimi or Patrika to some, had recently been seen by her transplant team at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in NYC to review and try to treat her diminishing lung function.

With great sadness, I am sharing that they have diagnosed her with Chronic Rejection.  We don't fully know what that means as far as longevity but they are offering her a study that "could" help.  At this point we are willing to do anything to keep her alive!

In the study they will take the blood out of her system and radiate it and then put it back in.   She has to  go back to NYC on January 16th to have another pulmonary function test.  This is a big travel commitment and traveling cost could range between 700-900, as it's 2 days a week for  1 weeks , 1 day a week for 2 and then 1 day a week a month for  3 months.

Throughout her illness and transplant we have never reached out for help and as you can imagine over the years the cost of travel and medications has been astronomical but she's plugged away and gone without. I truly don't want her to feel any more financial burden over the choice to survive this.

With all that said, I humbly ask for any support.. I know times are hard for everyone, so please noooo pressure but any and every little bit can help.  I thank you in advance for your support and consideration.
