My Uncle Matthew has recently encountered some devastating news as well as the family. He has developed Stage 4 Colon Cancer. This horrible disease has spread to his lungs, and his liver, resulting in multiple tumors on these vital organs. His doctor has explained that this is SEVERE, but treatable.

He will be beginning his fight for his life next week. The doctors will be inserting an infusion port near his clavicle which will allow him to begin his chemotherapy the following week. He will need 6 treatments total, 1 every 14 days, over a 3 month period of time.

If the tumors shrink, they will then have surgery to remove a portion of his liver and lung, and possibly his colon. Which will be followed by 6 more months of chemotherapy. With evident cause to not be able to work, no resources to assist with living expenses, such as rent and utilities, difficulty during this pandemic, and expenses for the specialty diet he will have to start, we want absolute quality of life, and not a death sentence for Matthew.

Anybody that knows Matty G knows how fun, loving, goofy, and playful he is, and knows that he could shine a light in a dim room.
