I’m reaching out for help for my dear friend Laura Juniper Sayers, who was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer. Laura is one of the kindest, strongest people I know—she’s a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, Grammy, and an amazing friend who would give her last penny to help someone else. She and her husband Mike are both military veterans, and Mike has continued to serve working for the government. Unfortunately, since Laura’s diagnosis, she has been out of work, and Mike’s income was just cut off by the recent government shutdown. Right now, their household income is zero.
