Fight for Kait

Hi everyone, my name is Natalie, and I have had the pleasure of being one of many of Kaitlynn and Adam’s friends. With their permission, I am honored to have created this page, with the help of many family members and friends, as a tribute to our beautiful friend, Kaitlynn Tessier.
Kaitlynn has a heart of gold and a deep love for all things clean, white, and minimalist. Her smile is bright, full of love, and radiates kindness. She holds a special place in her heart for her cat Marv and dog Jep with the unconditional love to her fiance Adam. It’s heartbreaking to share that she is now enduring one of the toughest battles of her life.
This page is dedicated to Kaitlynn—to celebrate her strength, her beauty, and the love she spreads to everyone around her. Let’s come together to support her in every way we can during this challenging time.
As many of you may know, Kaitlynn was recently diagnosed with stage IV rectal cancer. To say that we are all heartbroken is an understatement. The devastatingly sad news is, after years of trying to concieve, Kaitlynn and Adam were expecting, but the pregnancy became complicated with what she thought was a severe colitis flare. For weeks, she barely ate or slept because of the pain. Kait finally went to the hospital on October 7th with severe anemia, only to eventually learn that the pain was being caused by an aggressive cancer that had been invading her body. Over the past couple of weeks, she has had to endure more than most people do in a lifetime, with a hard journey still ahead. Please keep her and Adam in your thoughts and prayers, as they not only try to process a cancer diagnosis, but also the loss of their baby.
While we are trying to remain hopeful, the sad and scary reality is that it is not curable. The cancer is extremely aggressive and has spread to multiple parts of her body, including her liver, abdomen and spine. The goal of treatment will be to manage her pain and buy her some more time to spend with her loved ones, and get her home to snuggle with Jep and Marv as soon as possible.
Many people have already reached out asking how they can help, so this page was created. That friends and family can let them know that you are thinking of them, or to sign up to bring a meal and to help with unexpected expenses and alleviate some of the financial stress so that they can focus on spending what precious time they have on each other and with friends and family. If able, you can even consider donating blood in her honour, as Kait received numerous transfusions while she was in the hospital.
