Support Jennie in Her Fight Against Cancer

In the picture above is my aunt. She is the young age of 47, and she has always been someone who can make anyone laugh. I have looked up to her my entire life. When she sets her mind to something, she achieves it—and right now, our minds are set on fighting her cancer. We are asking for your support.

In August, Jennie’s world turned upside down when she was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer called undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma. What started as a small lump in her leg quickly became life-changing. True to her character, Jennie didn’t hesitate to get it checked, and after an MRI, her doctors developed an aggressive treatment plan.

Jennie will undergo six rounds of chemotherapy—five days in the hospital followed by sixteen days of recovery each round. After chemo, she will begin radiation and then face what doctors call a “limb-saving surgery,” if everything goes as planned. Her prognosis remains uncertain, but anyone who knows Jennie knows her strength, determination, and ability to face challenges head-on.

Just before her diagnosis, Jennie was building the life she had always dreamed of. She met and married the love of her life, Pete, purchased a beautiful home, graduated with her bachelor’s degree, and began her dream job in social services, supporting children in the foster care system. Unfortunately, as her tumor rapidly grew, she could no longer physically do her job and was placed on medical leave. Right now, Jennie and Pete are living on his modest income while navigating this unexpected journey.

We are asking for your support to help cover travel costs, out-of-pocket medical expenses, and household bills during her treatment and recovery. Jennie’s energy needs to go toward healing and fighting this disease—not worrying about finances.

Jennie has always been someone who shows up for her loved ones and her community. Now, it’s our turn to show up for her. If you are able, please consider donating. If you cannot donate, sharing this page means just as much.

Together, we can help Jennie focus on what matters most: beating cancer.
