Hi everyone! I am setting up this fundraiser for my mom, Jacque Archuleta who has been in the hospital for 4 weeks now. My mom was originally scheduled for her 3rd open heart surgery to replace one of her valves. Things ended up taking a turn for the worst! My mom suffered from a stroke, internal bleeding in her stomach where she had to have emergancy surgery from a trauma surgeon to find the source of bleeding. They could not completely close my mom’s stomach, so they had to leave her open for 2 days and then my mom had to go through another surgery to get closed up! My mom did NOT get her valve replaced. We almost lost her!
She spent the first two weeks in the ICU and on life support. My mom is now on the regular cardiac floor and is working towards going to a rehabilitation facility where she will have to spend time relearning normal every day functions. My mom is a true fighter!!
I’m starting this fundraiser because my mom is the owner of her own business, Maria Elena’s Mexican Restaurant. We are keeping the business open and running with the help of my close family but we are still struggling financially with all of my mom’s medical bills that continue to come in and we will soon have to pay for physical rehab. Since my mom owns her own business, we do not have an 401k or any other benefits to fall back on. My mom still has a very long road to recovery and will be kept out of work for months to come. My family and I appreciate any contribution that you are able to provide, anything helps! We love you all ❤️
