Fight for Forman

Hi there! Thank you for visiting FIGHT FOR FORMAN! Mackenzie (Kenzie) Forman is a 12-year-old girl from Felicity, OH.

She has just been diagnosed with Leukemia. Kenzie’s form of Leukemia is called HR-B-ALL which stands for High-Risk B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Kenzie is a tenacious, outgoing, kick the world in the butt kind of girl! She loves her cats and her goats and she can’t wait to get home to them.
On February 11, 2022 Kenzie went to the doctor for mild symptoms of appendicitis and was sent to Cincinnati Children's Hospital ER by her pediatrician. After being quickly admitted to the ER, an ultrasound was given which showed the appendix was inflamed but there wasn't anything inside of it to cause an infection. This led to the doctors to run more tests on her blood. After 10 hours in the ER the Forman family heard the news that no family expects or wants to hear, their daughter, Kenzie, has Cancer. They were obviously crushed and devastated. However, they are ready to battle this diagnosis and are looking forward to the day they get the news she is in Remission!

Kenzie has been at Cincinnati Children's Hospital since her February 11th diagnosis and the first phase is them living there for a 30-day aggressive Chemo treatment so she can be monitored at all times. Her whole treatment plan is broken down into about 7 different blocks lasting 1 -2 months each. Each of these blocks will total up to 2 and ¼ years! After her 30 days stay, she will then come back twice a week with a few more overnight stays thrown into the mix; along with any additional stays depending on how she reacts throughout the 2-year + treatment plan.

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital has a 95% success rate, and The Forman's feel so blessed this is where they are!

Life will be completely different for her and her entire family, but they are learning to cope and to fight! Kenzie has her mother, Lauren, with her at all times. Her father, Josh, has been going to work and then staying with them overnight, however on procedure days Josh stays right there with them. Her big brother Jake is able to come and visit some evenings and weekends as well. Unfortunately, Kenzie can only have very limited visitors with her having such low white blood counts and infections being a very dangerous thing for her. Learning this new way of life will not be easy mentally, physically as well as financially.
The news of Leukemia certainly wasn’t expected. The Forman family has a great support system but extra prayers, good thoughts and financial help could never hurt!
Anything helps in this time of need.
Please keep Kenzie in your thought's, prayers and the FIGHT FOR FORMAN will be going strong!!
