Fight for Feliz

On July 2, 2020, Dyango Feliz (34) rushed to Baptist Hospital after feeling COVID-like symptoms. After several tests, COVID-19 came back negative; however, the results showed blood in his lungs and severe inflammation. D was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. AML is a blood cancer that starts in the bone marrow and affects the blood cells, not allowing the white blood cells to mature into healthy white blood cells. The leukemia cells can spread outside the blood to the central nervous system, skin, and gums. Currently, there's no cure for this disease, just ongoing treatment. Also, he has a Diffuse Alveolar Hemorrhage that required intubation and placement on a ventilator with ICU management. He will begin Chemotherapy treatment within the next 24 to 48 hours while we wait for the Bone Marrow biopsy results that will outline his condition's severity.


D is an incredibly strong, caring friend, husband, brother, and father who's presence elicits joy, laughter, and takes pride in supporting others. This time it is D that needs our support.
