Fight For Daniel Villanueva
Daniel Villanueva, born and raised in Hawaii, is battling ALK+ Non-Hodgkins Anaplastic Large Cell (ALCL) T-Cell Cutaneous Lymphoma. Daniel noticed a sharp pain in his lower back in March. After unsuccessful visits to his chiropractor, he visited his PCP for scans and tests, which led to his diagnosis of this rare type of cancer, making up only 1-2% of all lymphomas. A fit/healthy and avid Brazilian Jiu Jitsu student, Daniel conferred with the oncologist and naturopathic doctors, and decided to address the Lymphoma with a “non-invasive” treatment plan comprised of an organic vegetarian diet and various natural supplements. In mid-July, with no significant improvement and a rapid decline in health, Daniel became open to chemotherapy as his final treatment option. This unexpected event did not prepare Daniel for the costs of medical expenses. Always the fighter, Daniel continues to work with a team of physicians who are preparing him for the next step in his treatment.
We come to you today to humbly request your generous support as we seek donations to offset some of his expenses.
On August 19, 2018, family and friends of Daniel Villanueva are organizing a fundraiser at Crossroads, Hawaiian Brian’s, to help him with medical treatment and costs. We understand that not everyone will be able to attend the event on Oahu. We started this Go Fund me for those who aren't able to attend, but still want to contribute to Daniel's fight in some way.
Mahalo,
The friends and family of Daniel Villanueva
