Fight For Clarence

First, thank you for being here. My dad Clarence is a hardworking, caring, Heart of Gold kind of man.  He is always helping those in need, whether its monetary or lending a hand.

On November 2, my Dad went in for simple gallbladder removal procedure. It was a same day release. The next morning he woke up with excruciating / unbearable pain. Ill have you know that my dad hates going to the hospital. Like if my dad gets a deep cut he will gladly let it sit in Clorox than go to the doctors. We knew it was serious when he asked to be taken to the emergency room. Once he got there, they did their initial test, and they also did a CT scan which concluded that he had severe pancreatitis. Pancreatitis is when your pancreas is inflamed it is also the most sensitive organ in the body. In less that 24HRs from being admitted, he was taken in to ICU unit. That's when the doctor said, dad was in a serious critical condition. Due  to him having pancreatitis, they had to control his heart which was beating double the normal heartbeat rate. He also had to be on a ventilator because he couldn't breathe on his own. The hospital did all they could to help him, but because they don't specialize on pancreas they had to transfer him to a hospital almost an hour away and that is with good traffic. He was transferred on the 24th to the new hospital. 3 days later, they discovered he had a bleeding ulcer. They had to do a procedure to stop the bleeding. During his whole hospital stays, we had 2 close calls where we almost lost him. Doctors are saying he still has a long way to go before his pancreas can completely heal. As of today, he is currently still in ICU. He is in stable condition but not out the woods yet. Doctors say it is a day to day progress due to the trauma affected by his pancreas.

My Dad hasn't been to work in over a month. He is the main source of income and due to him being hospitalized he is no longer getting paid. He has used up all of his sick leave. He worked to put a roof over our heads, provided food for his family of 6 with him being in the hospital the bills we keep coming no matter how sick he is.

Your generous donations can help lighten the load, so that he can focus on recovery, as he taught us to do. Your kind donation will go directly to my mom to help deal with the financial repercussions of my dad's current condition, so he can focus on healing and come home.

Thank You.
