Brett & Lindsey Deters are two young professionals with a 2 year-old daughter Madilyn Grace.  On 11/24/19 at 5:17 Lindsey delivered a baby girl Amelia Jane.  A few hours after delivery, Amelia developed respiratory difficulties from pulmonary hypertension and was transferred to the NICU at Cardinal Glennon Hospital.    On 12/1/19 Little Amelia is still in the NICU and remains in critical condition.  She is still maxed out on the ventilator and is heavily sedated.  Any noise or movement at all raises her heart rate and her oxygen levels drop.  Her prognosis remains unknown at this time.  Please continue to keep "our little girl" in your thoughts and prayers....Brett & Lindsey

On 12/4/19 Amelia was taken off the ventilator and is breathing on her own.  She is stable but still remains critical and has a long road ahead of her.

Brett is the son of  Nick and Nancy Deters from Teutopolis.  Brett works at North American Lighting.  Lindsey is the daughter of Keith & Michelle (Bradford) Sheeler and Gary & Kim Sapp.  Lindsey is an RN at Crossroads Community Hospital.

The money will be used to help with medical expenses, loss of work, and travel expenses.
