Hi beautiful people, I am fundraising for my beautiful ginger boy Augie. Augie is 2 years old (a bebe) and I adopted this gorgeous little rescue at 5 weeks old. Augie is a cheeky, playful, 'dog'-like cat who loves people and all animals; he has been a nurturing surrogate 'Father' for numerous foster kittens with his gentle nature and charming personality. Augie has recently spent the last two weeks in and out of the emergency veterinary hospital. Augie has been unable to pass urine, had 3 catheters put in, battled an infection, had major surgery to reconstruct his urethral tube and is now still struggling to recover and remains as an inpatient at the Centre for Animal Referral and Emergency (CARE). The vets are super committed to continuing to try and figure out how to get Augie through to recovery with some quality of life in tact, however it's taking longer than expected to find the correct treatment pathway. Augie has not been responding to treatment thus far but has been a brave boy, and the nurses and doctors tell me he's always trying to play with them and get smooches (one of them said they love his giant nose - lol). Augie's vet bill's have climbed well past $10,000 and I am doing everything in my power to keep fighting and advocating for Augie's recovery. I am covering as much as I possibly can, and I want to continue supporting Augie to come back to his beautiful life.
