Fight for Ahaan

Ahaan Singh

Singh family recently came to Charlotte for trial-based treatment for their son Ahaan. Ahaan has been fighting Neuroblastoma cancer for past 4 years. He has gone through multiple surgeries, many rounds of Chemotherapy and even more radiation therapies. When cancer came back the third time there was no treatment available in India. They came to know about a new trial in Charlotte Levine’s hospital for which Ahaan met the criteria and they were determined to get him in and the treatment he needs.

Singh family is from very humble background from Jalandhar city India. Finances have been tight specially with such long cancer treatment. Ahaan’s mom had to leave her job to take care of him when he was first diagnosed, and his dad hadn’t had a full-time job for more than a year due to constant travel in India for Ahaan’s treatment. Their finances have drained out with constant national and international travel for Ahaan’s treatment and with no job, time has been quite difficult.

Ahaan is a vibrant 7-year-old kid and is a brave fighter. He has seen more doctors and hospitals in his short life than any adult may ever have to see. He gets his spirit to fight from his parents who have come to an unknown place where they have no family or friends just the hope to save their son!
