Fight Fire with Fire: Help the Dumonceaus

As many of you know, my sister and her family lost their home and almost all of their belongings in the Palisades fire on January 7, 2025. The sense of loss is just unimaginable, and many of you have reached out to ask what you can do to help. We’re so relieved to share that Stephane, Jen, Fiona, Emil and Layla are together and safe if a bit scared about what the future holds. They have lived in Southern California for 14 years and called the Palisades their home for 11 years. They will miss this beloved community and daily walks to the bluffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

The good news is that the Dumonceau family is beloved, and many of you have asked how you can help. While we’re doing all we can to reassure them and help them on a day-to-day level, we know that all of you are concerned and have offered assistance. They are staying with friends for now, but have limited space currently so what is most needed are resources to help them figure out what’s next, and get back on their feet. So we’re starting this page to help them raise funds to cover additional expenses beyond what’s covered and give their friends and family a channel to support them on what will surely be a difficult road ahead.

Your donations will go straight to the family, and give them a sense of the support and love that we all share for them. Together, we can help show them the enormous community of support they have to get them through this incredibly painful moment.
