Eva Poet has always been known for her sassy attitude and big smile that could light up a room. She was looking forward to spending her summer in SWFL with grandparents, swimming, going to theatre camp and so much more. Unfortunately on July 9th, everything changed. She was admitted to the hospital and not even 48 hours later, she was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. The oncology team instantly started treatment and chemotherapy at a hospital 8 hours away from where Eva and her parents live and will be receiving inpatient treatment for 30-45 days. Once she is discharged, she will be headed back to Alabama to continue her treatment. Eva is incredibly strong willed and we all know she has the determination to fight this battle while having the most incredible, loving support system by her side.
