Fight Epithelioid Hemangioendothelioma, Cancer IV

Hello Everyone,

This is very hard to share or create.

I know that at some point you’ve probably heard about my most loving mother, Rosemarie has a rare, Stage 4, Cancer called Epithelioid Hemangioendothelioma or EHE. It is rare cancer that grows from the cells that make up the blood vessels. One out of a Million gets this disease. The oncologist says there’s no cure for the disease. No one knows how long she has to live, whether it’s 3 months or less than likely 5 years. Mama wishes to have treatment in Ketchikan, where most of her family resides. The oncologist says it would be most beneficial for her to stay in WA, where she can be closely monitored. She has started chemotherapy. Everything has its quid pro quo, either endure her burning pain where pain medication barely touches somedays and/or endure chemos side effects of numbness of body, etc.

It is not easy to know that you don’t have much time with your loved one. There are no words to describe seeing your loved one in pain and not being able to do anything about it. I can’t even imagine what my sister goes through every day she sees her in pain, I only get to visit a couple of days and I’m in pieces.

My mom Rosemarie has always lived a simple life. She worked for Alaskan & Proud for years and made the salsa called “Rosey’s Salsa.” She loves being independent, she paid bills, makes sure everyone is happy and well taken care of, and she’s good. I know how hard it is for her that everyone else is taking care of her and not the other way around. This fundraiser is to help her since she isn’t able to work anymore.

I don’t know what number is an appropriate number to place for this fundraiser. There isn’t an amount on life itself. But this was a way to help my mom with her treatments.
