Help Dr. Lisa Fight Covid-19 misinformation

Social media is fueling the spread of misinformation about coronavirus and COVID-19. I am asking you to support my company Grapevine Health to fight coronavirus misinformation by helping people understand what’s true and what’s not.
I believe it is profoundly unjust to use a national crisis like the coronavirus pandemic to prey upon the fears and anxieties of the public. Please help me add a credible voice to combat misinformation, and reduce fear and anxiety during this pandemic.
Your donation will be used to expand my Dr Lisa on the Street series, conduct research, buy visual aids and create educational and interactive video content. This content will include live chats on social media with community members and experts. Your contribution will also be used for all the production and marketing costs and to hire people, some of whom are out of work due to the pandemic. These people will help create video content, including content with Spanish subtitles, track engagement and ensure the information is distributed broadly on the Internet for you and people all over the world to see.
I am qualified to address coronavirus misinformation because I am a medical doctor who specializes in infectious diseases and I understand the science and treatment of bacteria, viruses and other germs. I am also trained in public health by the CDC and worked as a disease detective and health diplomat for nearly 10 years. Patients and communities trust me as someone who listens and is sincere about educating and ensuring people understand the ‘why’ and ‘how’ of health, disease and science.
I am asking for your support because I believe the spread of health misinformation is physically and mentally harmful. Too often this misinformation goes unaddressed by credible people. Since the onset of the pandemic I have received calls, emails and online requests from people across the country to address harmful misinformation. This tells me the misinformation is widespread and affects people from all backgrounds and incomes. I want to use my gifts to help people navigate the sea of coronavirus and COVID-19 information in a unique way.
