My brother Nash is one of the most happiest and optimistic person I know, he is full of life and potential. Shortly after turning 20 years old, he applied for an automotive apprenticeship to build a career towards his passion of cars. He was scheduled to start the new chapter of his life February of 2018.
On January 23rd of 2018, we were shattered with the devastating news of his diagnosis. Nash was diagnosed with stage 3 adrenal carcinoma colorectal cancer. His life changed in one day. His future became bleak. The malignant cancer immediately incapacitated Nash. The pain and the chemo has impacted Nash’s quality of life. It has drained his energy and made him bedridden for the majority of the day.
In February of 2018 Nash was faced with further hardship. Nash was a passenger during a winter storm when his car hit a branch on the middle of the road. His car was instantly totaled/written off by the insurance company. Nash came out the crash with shoulder and lower back injuries which he is still recovering from. Due to the nature of car accident the insurance company put him at fault.
As our financial burdens increased due to the crash and Nash’s cancer, my single mother of 4, had to get a second job. My mom works hard and tirelessly. In this time of uncertainty, the high level of stress due to her relentless pursuit to provide for her children pushed my mother over the edge as well. My mom has developed carpal tunnel syndrome on both of her wrists and is also scheduled for surgery. We have reached a point where we do not know how we will be paying for rent or food. I’m a part-time student with a part time job, and I do everything that I can, but it’s not enough. This is why we have turned to the good nature of your heart at our time of hardship
Please help us in this difficult time, and the hard times ahead. All donations help, and we appreciate your generosity!
If you can’t give, but still want to support my family, please share this with friends, family members, and coworkers.
From me and my family, Thank you.
