Fight Cancer with "KieKie"
Donation protected
My 18-year old God-Daughter Ayekie, affectionately called KieKie, was recently diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer (Germinoma) in October 2021. At the tender age of 18 while taking college classes, she became ill before receiving the confirmed diagnosis after having a brain biopsy. With the recommended treatment plan of 4 rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, she has a 90% success rate.
We all know how expensive healthcare is. Her mother has been tirelessly juggling work to sustain the family while trying to provide everything for her family. Funds will be used to help pay for the treatments, mileage to and from the treatment center at UVA, which is over 2 hours away, and 4-5 days of lodging during each treatment session. KieKie has just recently finished round 2 of her 4 chemotherapy sessions. After she completes her chemotherapy sessions, she will have to travel back to UVA for each of her radiation treatments as well.
Our family loves this sweet young lady so much, and family is everything! Our support network has been so strong, but we know it takes a village to conquer these kinds of things. We kindly ask for your donations to help ease the financial burden and allow the family time to focus on the care that is needed for KieKie.
