I have been married to my husband, Eric, for almost 18 years. We have three wonderful children, 2 boys (13 and 10) and a 3 year old daughter.
About 14 years ago, our lives were rocked by the diagnosis of breast cancer when I was pregnant with our first son. We all made it through that scary and difficult time. I was told that if I made it ten years without recurrence that my chances of getting it again dropped dramatically. Apparently cancer didn't get the memo. On June 4th, 2018, I was diagnosed again with the same variety of breast cancer I had before. It's a very aggressive breast cancer. It is triple negative, which means it isn't receptive to most types of treatments. I don't know at this time exactly what we are facing, aside from lots of medical bills. The biopsy and pathology alone cost over $1500 after insurance.
We get asked a lot, "What can we do?" Pray, please pray that I can watch my kids grow up, that I can grow old with my husband, that I can beat cancer again!!! Also, any financial help you feel lead to give would be greatly appreciated.
Since this is a recurrence, treatment will be much more aggressive than last time. That means, we don't truly know what the costs will be. We are hoping to raise at least 10k to help cover costs related to my testing, surgeries and treatment.
