Fight Breast Cancer and Save Almast's Life
2021 has proven to be a difficult year for everyone, especially our beloved family friend Almast. After battling the coronavirus and a variety of everyday struggles, Almast was diagnosed with breast cancer, the leading cancer killer in women worldwide. This life threatening disease has impacted everyone around her. Amongst many things Almast is a mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, friend and pivotal member of her community in Armenia. She gladly welcomes everyone into her home with open arms and is reluctant to turn anyone away in times of need. Her traditional Armenian dishes, Dolma and Boerag, are a favorite among many in Yerevan. The community sees Almast as a motherly figure, a woman filled with grace, charisma and kindness. After years of witnessing her give back and support the people around her, we are asking for some financial help to turn this horrible news into a triumphant story.
Almast has a lot of fight in her but her family is unable to afford the only treatment that can cure her from this cruel disease. The treatment in the United States of America costs $100,000 and $26,000 in her home country, Armenia. Unfortunately the pharmaceutical industry is so corrupt that the only way for Almast to live is to pay $26,000 out of pocket, something her family and many others are not financially capable of doing. Health insurance does not cover this miracle drug, but the cumulation of your donations could save her life.
Her children and grandchildren are not ready to let her go. They are spending every moment by her side, not knowing which is going to be their last. This could be your daughter, or mother, or bestfriend. Please help fight against breast cancer and save Almast’s life. This invasive case of cancer has spread to other parts of Almast’s body making everyday life difficult and dreadful. Getting out of bed doesn’t feel the same, family dinners aren’t as joyful and life isn’t what it used to be. This treatment could help a loving family get back on track, back to the life they love.
This diagnosis has shattered her family and friends but with the hope of this life saving treatment her family’s lively and happy spirit will return. Although this diagnosis continues to pose a threat to her livelihood, she is still smiling. She is still laughing. She is still hopeful. Breast cancer has taken a lot from Almast but we are finding ways to make sure it doesn’t take her from us.
