Winning the fight against antisemitism

Tax deductible

The students, faculty and parents of North Shore Hebrew Academy High School were targeted on December 14th by cowardly hackers who posted vile antisemitic content to the school’s website. A video was posted showing footage from World War II with a song mocking the murder of Jews in the Nazi death camps; the school’s logo was replaced with a swastika and a photo was uploaded showing the name of the school as the North Shore Hebrew Death Camp.

But, unbeknownst to the hackers, their hate is now inspiring new opportunities for Jewish education. As independent Jewish advocates, we have launched an exciting fundraising campaign to contribute toward the tuition for a student who otherwise may not have been able to attend North Shore Hebrew Academy.

Launched during Chanukkah, this campaign is part of our effort to dispel and vanquish darkness in the best way we know how— creating more light. When a single candle is lit in a room of absolute darkness, that light becomes the focus, and can be seen far and wide. The hope is that this movement will inspire more like it, the same way one candle can light so many others without being extinguished. When antisemites make the mistake of attacking us, we will come back many times stronger.
