Ed Nisbett's Surgery Needs
 
Our friend & family member, Eddie,  is in desperate need for immediate spinal surgery. Eddie has been on a downhill slide the past couple months and has been diagnosed with cervical myelopathy.

Cervical myelopathy is a form of myelopathy that involves compression of the spinal cord in the cervical spine (neck). Without treatment, Eddie's condition could lead to paralysis and even death.

If you know Eddie, you know he has always been full of life! A man who loves the outdoors, the lake, fishing and anything fun with his friends & family. He loves spending time with his family, his kids, grand kids and his wife.

Over the past months, Eddie has lost strength and function in both arms & hands as well as his legs. He has been unable to perform simple task like hold a glass or shave his face without assistance. He has been on a walker the past couple months due to his rapidly degrading condition.

The good news: The doctor is confident Eddie can regain 75-80% of his previous function with immediate surgery. The bad news: The surgery is very expensive.

The doctors would like Eddie to have surgery immediately. Due to the up front costs, he had to delay to Friday 5/15 to try to figure out the financials. The surgery center is asking for $25, 500 up front before they will even admit him. Additional follow up doctors fees with range ~$8,000 - $10,000.

We know times are already tough and if it was not a desperate situation, we would not be doing this. I know Eddie has a ton of loving friends & family that might be able to help in some way. Eddie & Sharon both have worked very hard all their lives taking care of their families and have asked for almost nothing in return. I think it's time we give them a helping hand. Please consider giving to support this much needed surgery to help Eddie get healthy again.
