Hi, my name is Bianca. I’m not too sure how to word one of these. We recently adopted a 5 month old cat. Her name is Figgie. We adopted her because she was the last kitten out of her mom’s litter. Her mom had rejected her for reasons we weren’t sure of. Recently, she has developed a severe ear infection. We took her to the vet because she had developed vestibular disease because of it. Two days later she started loafing and head pressing. She refuses to eat, but will drink water every now and then. We took her to the emergency animal hospital and they said she had a ruptured eardrum and a fever of 106.5. They gave her antibiotics and sent her on her way. At our follow up with our vet, they said she still had the fever. They have decided to keep her for some fluids to try and help her fever, but we simply cannot afford the vet bill for her treatment. We don’t want to see her die. She’s just a baby that we have tried to provide with love, as her mom had rejected her. For the moment we are a one income household and we just can’t afford the care she needs. I have videos of her head pressing and experiencing vestibular disease, but for some reason I couldn’t upload those. I will work on that. These funds would strictly go towards her medical bill to make sure she gets the care she needs. I know this is a stretch but any help is appreciated to try and save her little life. Thank you.
