This is Figaro. He is an outdoor cat that has adopted my family.
There was a terrible shed fire yesterday (3/14/21) and poor Figgy was inside.
Peter, my husband, found him hiding in our garage at 4am all charred and in pain. We immediately rushed him to Valley Central Animal Hospital in Whitehall, PA. So far, this beautiful, loving boy is stable. He will be in the hospital for at least the next 3 days on IV fluids and antibiotics. We have already hit close to $5,000 with emergency vet bills, and for the 3 day stay, but the outcome looks VERY positive if he can get the care he needs.
The vet estimates another $5-10K before Figaro is fully recovered. Sadly, the bills we have already incurred have tapped us out.

To our dismay, Figaro's brother Pete did not make it out of the shed and perished in the fire. We are DEVASTATED and HEARTBROKEN. All the more reason we are determined to save this fur baby and give him the life he deserves.
