Figaro the Fabulous Mini is and always will be a well loved member of our East Bay community and beyond. He made many friends over the years and brought so much love and joy to so many. He will truly be missed.

His mom Julie tried everything she could to save him. Despite her great sadness, she gently held him one last time before he trotted over the rainbow bridge to meet up with his buddy Rupert.

A Note from Julie
I am so sorry to be sharing the sad news I had to make the decision to put Figaro down last night. I had taken him to UC Davis 3 days ago with a low grade fever and mild discomfort. UC Davis did everything they could to try to find out what was causing the problem, but no diagnostic was definitive. Unfortunately, Figaro began declining rapidly, with fever rising and increased discomfort. Yesterday the veterinary team felt they had no choice but to undergo exploratory surgery in an effort to try to identify the source and save him, but they could not. With a less than 20% chance of survival and a prognosis of only increased pain, I made the decision to put him down. As many of you know, Figaro was a very special soul who brought love and joy to the world in every way he could. He had a great life. He could not have been more loved (and he knew it). He loved everyone and everything, and was the purest soul I've ever known. I feel fortunate to have had him in my life for 15 years, and to have been able to share him with the so many. He was truly a gift from the universe.
