Fifty Family Fund
On the 16th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, south Louisiana was hit by Hurricane Ida, a category 4 hurricane with winds of 150mph. Ida’s strong winds were extremely destructive, with the ability to rip the roof and walls clean off of houses. Many people were left without shelter or a place to stay.
FEMA has been providing hotel rooms and apartments to people in need, but currently there are little to none available. Many people had no other choice but to live on the streets or in their flooded, moldy, and roofless homes. sadly some of these people have serious medical conditions or even children living with them.
My goal with this go fund me is to raise $50,000 in order to directly give $1000 each to 50 families for them to find a place to stay at the moment. Please help support these affected families.
