Fifth Grade Parent-Child Kickball Game

Hi 5th Grade Parents! As you may be aware, the annual KES 5th Grade Kickball Game has been canceled due to work being done on the upper field at the school. From being COVID kindergarteners and first graders to curriculum changes that have moved certain activities to other grades (e.g., downtown Katonah field trip, 5th grade play), we feel like our kids have missed out on too much to miss another KES milestone.

As a result, Ali Tejtel (Zoe's mom) and I (Camilla's mom) are organizing a parent-child kickball event for our families on June 13, 2025 at 5pm at the poolside field at Katonah Memorial Park. This event will be completely independent from KES and the KES PTO. The rental fee is relatively nominal and already covered, but we'd love to turn the event into a special party for our 5th graders (food truck! DJ! t-shirts!). To that end, we are requesting donations from parents. Any contributions are greatly appreciated.

Thank you all for your consideration. Together, we can make this event a special one that will provide our kids with wonderful memories of their last few weeks at KES.
