Fifi's MRI For Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) Fundraiser

We are now booked in to be seen by neurology at the vet clinic in Essex next Thursday 20th March.

Fifi will hopefully have the MRI the same day, but it may be Friday so we will stay overnight in Essex.

Info: The cost of the MRI and consultation is £2700.

Insurance will cover £1500 of this, so we need to find the other £1200 ourselves before Thursday 20th March.

Fifi is my darling almost 4 year old French Bulldog I rescued almost 2 years ago.

She is the sweetest most beautiful soul in the world and has brought me nothing but joy since we found each other.

A few weeks ago, Fifi started showing signs of being in pain, gradually over the next couple of days losing the ability to use her back legs at all. She was prescribed lots of medications and crate rest, and has made some really great progress and is now able to walk and stand but has ataxia which is weakening of the back legs, causing her to be unstable and wobbly at times. This is due to the compression on the spinal cord from a damaged disc and a condition called IVDD (Intervertebral disc disease) which French Bulldogs are sadly prone to. Fifi now needs an MRI to identify the affected disc or discs, with a surgery called a Hemilaminectomy to remove those discs to give her the best chance of ever being normal again, and to prevent this happening again.

I have insurance which will hopefully cover most of the surgery which is a fixed price of £5300, but there is a £1,500 cap on the MRI cost, and the MRI is at a cost of £2,700.

I am therefore fundraising in the hopes we can get the rest of the MRI fee covered.

Fifi is the center of my world, she's the face of my jewellery brand, and adored by everyone on our market days.

She deserves the chance to live a normal life again and get back to her happy Frenchie rolls!
